honey

Overview

Often called one of the greatest videos of all time, “Honey” is directed by young visionary director cutmandiego (Diego Benitez) and is considered his magnum opus at this early point in his career. The video explores themes of friendship, living in the moment, and having fun with the people you care about. In the lyrics, RIPfreddie (Alfredo Castro) expresses themes of brotherhood, ambition, emotional pain, confidence, attraction, and rebellion. His main message is that they came from difficult circumstances, are determined to succeed, and refuse to let others control, disrespect, or hold them back. In the second half, Riko Altimo (Eduardo Alvarez) focuses on living a creative lifestyle, achieving success with close friends, staying loyal to family, and enjoying the journey. Overall, the song is an anthem about coming up with your brothers, chasing success, protecting your people, and refusing to let outsiders tell you how to live.
