Joining Jools in the studio this week, David Gray works through a couple of tracks from his extensive greatest hits package. Also, Hoylake's The Coral play from their fifth album, Roots and Echoes; Mali's ngoni master Bassekou Koyate performs with his band, Ngoni Ba; Los Angeles-based Rilo Kiley guest with a couple of songs from their current LP, Under The Backlight; musical husband and wife Dame Cleo Laine and Sir John Dankworth join Jools at the piano and; South London pop and rockabilly boy Jack Penate performs a track from his debut, Matinee.
