70% of the earth's surface is covered by water and much of the history of man's discovery of the earth is linked to oceans. From the fragile boats which sailed along the Mediterranean coasts to the majestic ships which sailed off to the New World, the evolution of seagoing craft and navigation tools has ceaselessly pushed man to break the barriers of the oceans
