Overview

The Japanese army, advancing south to secure resources, landed on the Malay Peninsula with the aim of taking Singapore, the base of the British army, by land. In the early hours of December 8, the vanguard forces landed at Singapore. At long last, the assault on the Malay Peninsula begins. Japanese army attacking, British army defending.
