She realises that they need Pat's help and urges him to offer Pat back her job. Patrick arrives at Pat's armed with flowers and an apology. She considers going back to work, but has a condition. She hints flirtatiously that she needs to feel like a woman again. Meanwhile, Dawn is disgusted when she learns that Deano and Jake placed a bet on her. Pauline tells Martin that she has agreed to marry Joe.

Phil finds his way into Johnny's house but is spotted by Johnny on the CCTV screen in his office. Phil tells Grant that Johnny was responsible for Dennis' murder and that he's here to get justice for Sharon. Danny is also living in the house and comes to Johnny's rescue only to be thrown into a cupboard by Grant. It's the two year death anniversary of Ruby's mum and sister. She makes tea and scones. Ruby finds and smashes all the vodka bottles in the office. Grant tries to befriend her while Phil tries to get a signed confession out of Johnny. He shows Johnny a tape of when Dennis beat him up and Phil is seen ejecting the tape.

Grant bursts into the office as Phil has a bottle to Johnny's neck. Grant punches Johnny, then Phil confesses to paying Juley to sleep with Ruby. Johnny lets Danny out of the cupboard. They go outside and Johnny takes Phil's car. Danny is left behind to look after Ruby but he he drugs her and puts her to bed. Grant and Phil take Johnny's car and follow him to a skip yard. Johnny wants to fight but Phil tries to run him over and crashes the car. Johnny leaves the brothers to argue between themselves. Grant calls for a cab, while Phil taunts him about his life in Brazil. Grant admits that he was unhappy in Rio. Jake arrives at the house to find Danny in bed with Ruby. Phil loses his temper and drives the car at Grant, but misses him and crashes into a pile of skips. Johnny and Danny arrive to take them home.

Carla eventually stops running and checks the bag only to discover its full of Grant's underwear. As Grant and Courtney are saying goodbye to Peggy, Carla rushes into the Vic spouting lies to try and smooth things over. Grant lifts her up, takes her outside and dumps her in Gus's bin, letting her know exactly what he thinks of her. As he and Courtney drive off to the airport, Jane comes rushing out the café, upset that he didn't even say goodbye. At the airport, he phones her and they share an emotional goodbye.
