Max is finally made acting head of Marketing and reminds Natasha and Vince that only one of them can be promoted to his assistant. Office rumors are being spread via a blog, but the real identity of the perpetrator is a mystery.

Alyson calls in outside help to deal with Roger’s recent PR gaffs because she is distracted by serious family issues. As Steven and Sally move closer, things get complicated.

Christine volunteers Sally for a temporary job swap and gets a young guy from the Butterworth’s bakery counter in her place. Staff appraisals are accidentally distributed to everyone and Christine must find a way to repair hurt feelings.

Roger’s long-held secret is finally revealed. And, once again, Christine is derailed in her efforts for a real recovery. Things between Sally and Steven reach a climax.

Alyson assumes she will be made the new CEO, but then learns that others are being considered, on top of receiving some other life-changing news. Jenny expresses her disappointment over Roger’s decision to resign and where it leaves her. Sally takes a step backward before moving forward with her life.
