Eddie has invented a new type of aerial which can be used to infiltrate any device. his ex Irene Chalk's children's home is abruptly closed down by the council. Irene is suspicious when she spots someone using Eddie's now stolen aerial to spy on her.

Eddie vanishes after learning Irene's children's home is holding up the major development of a new supermarket. Finding him murdered, Finn and Pearl investigate

Returning from visiting a client in Paris, Milly is arrested at the aiport in possession of Class A drugs. It's up to Pearl and Finn to prove her innocence

Milly is asked to help Anna get a divorce from her brutal husband Michael. She wants to keep the children but fears being in a lesbian relationship will go against her.

Pearl and Finn are looking for art student Lisa Stone but the case becomes personal when Pearl discovers that Lisa's father is also her own father.

Dr Manci has a seriously ill patient from Sri Lanka stricken with Ebola from the lab she's been working at illegally. Pearl and Finn must break into the lab and steal the antitode before the virus kills her

When right wing councillor John MacVerney is stabbed, the Carnival organiser Julian Henry is accused. Though the councillor subsequently backtracks, Finn learns that Henry did indeed stab him and that the pair had been lovers. Henry is later found murdered
