Dad is completely absorbed in hunting and macabre taxidermy while Mom strives to recapture her pageant queen glory days via reality TV. Stanley is reputed to be her boyfriend but he's so hung up on Michelle that he seldom notices her. The rest of her so-called friends just tolerate her for the drugs she provides. And her apathetic therapists ask her why she's unhappy...

Stanley steals his father's pride and joy to get to school and avoid failing. Tony talks him into stealing the car again to attend the choir recital that night. Tony passionately kisses his co-star during the recital and then 'gifts' Michelle to him. Stanley gets a kiss that he's been dreaming of, but another call from Tony and a short cut leads to a police chase and a court date.
