United states: Los Angeles - Santa Monica - San Luis Obispo - San Francisco - Sacramento

With the "Coast Starlight" from Amtrack a train journey is made along the coast of California. The journey goes from Los Angeles, with a visit to the seaside town of Santa Monica and Hollywood, to San Luis Obispo and then to San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge, where with one of the oldest and shortest cable railways is the "Angels Flight", and the famous Cable Cars. The end point of the trip is Sacramento where the sea lions are visited and the Union Pacific Railroad makes a trip along the Sacramento River.
Norway: Oslo - Holmenkollen - Myrdal - Flåm - Bergen

The starting point of this trip is Oslo, where a visit is made to a ski jumping competition in Holmenkollen and to the sculpture park with work by Gustav Vigeland. From Myrdal a trip to Flam with the Aurlandfjord. From Myrdal to Flam, the train descends zigzagging 865 meters and passes twenty tunnels. The city of Bergen is the end point of the journey.
Canada: Vancouver - Kamloops - Banff

The starting point of this trip with the Rocky Mountaineer starts in the most westerly state of Canada: British Columbia and goes via Vancouver to the gold digger place Kamloops. From there it goes further to Banff, which is a thousand kilometers to the east. This place has grown from a small railway village to the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
Ireland: Killarney - Kildare - Dublin - Belfast - Portrush

Starting point is Killarney with the Radio train (special wagons in which disc jockeys provide music) via Kildare to Dublin. A trip to Dublin is made with the DART train. Continue with the intercity to Belfast and to Portrush with the Portrush Flyer.
Romania: Bucharest - Ploiesti - Sinaia - Brașov - Vatra Dornei

The journey goes with the CFR (the national railway company of Romania) from Bucharest via Ploiesti, Sinaia, Brasov to Vatra Dornei.
The Netherlands: Medemblik - Hoorn - Amsterdam - IJmuiden - The Hague - Maastricht - Schin op Geul - Kerkrade

The trip goes from Medemblik with the steam train to Hoorn, then with the Dutch Railways, via the bulb fields of Noord-Holland, to Amsterdam. From Amsterdam with the "Kennemer beach express" from Lovers Rail to IJmuiden. Then via The Hague to Maastricht with the Dutch Railways. Then to Schin op Geul and with a steam train over the Miljoenenlijntje to Kerkrade.
Australia: Sydney - Broken Hill - Adelaide

In the first part of the long route from Sydney to Perth the journey first goes from the outskirts of Sydney with the Zig Zag Railway through the mountains of The Blue Mountains. Then the tour starts with the Indian Pacific from Sydney via Broken Hill to Adelaide where a boat trip is made to Kangaroo Island.
Australia: Adelaide - Kalgoorlie - Perth

In the second part of the long route from Sydney to Perth the journey goes from Adelaide via Kalgoorlie to Perth. With the tourist train Steam Ranger, the journey from Goolwa (near Adelaide) to the seaside resort of Victoria Harbor is undertaken. The journey then takes the horse-drawn tram to Granite Island and the Murray River is visited, after which the journey with Indian Pacific continues to the gold-digger town of Kalgoorlie. The last part of the trip goes to Perth and Freemantle.
Switzerland: Lucerne - Vitznau - Flüelen - Göschenen - Bellinzona - Locarno - Ponte Brolla

In this episode the journey goes from Lucerne by paddle boat to Vitznau; up the Rigi mountain with a cog railway; then continue with the paddle boat to Flüelen; then by train to Göschenen; there with a steam train over the Furka pass; then by train via Bellinzona to Locarno; there by train into the hinterland to the Swiss-Italian border region.
